EYP Summer School Session

The first Summer school Session organized by European youth parliament finished last week, and now I’m here to tell you what I think about the forum overall.

At first I want to tell you that I was skeptical about the forum because I thought that It simply can’t be well organized cause it was the first time and I was partially right. First 2 days we had more than 3 free hours, I personally think that we could use that time to do more useful things for example committee work, which unfortunately didn’t happen. Complete opposite of that were 3rd and 4th days, when we didn’t even have an hour to relax and just stop thinking. In the end of the 3rd day I thought “I’ve never worked that hard in my life”. The 4th day was almost the same but in the end when we finished I thought “that’s it we can do everything”. That day we finished earlier so we had time to play.

I know what you’re thinking about I’m talking just about negative thing, so please let me fix my mistake.

First of all I want to give a big credit to our chairs because without them I don’t think we would be able to finish our work on time.
Second of all we had so much fun playing different (new) games, singing, dancing. I think the biggest plus of the School Session was the communication between delegates and staff. They also organized a Talent Night and again I was skeptical but this time I changed my mind as soon as I heard the first song. The other big thing that I’ve gained during the past week was the ability to work as a team (but this time I didn’t change my mind I still hate team work).
Apart from the rest of the week I want to talk about the last at the same time the best, the hardest and most exciting day of the week. It was the day of General Assembly when we had to show to the other delegations what we’ve done in 2 days, with what kind of solutions we came up with in order to make the world a better place. Each of the participants in our group had its own think to do. Other delegations were attacking us, asking lots of questions. At the same time we had to write down and then give answers. Believe me I was tired, I wanted to go home and get some sleep, but I will never forget that day.

In conclusion I want to say that there were pros and cons but in the end of the day I’m very happy that I get a chance to be a part of The First EYP School Session.
